Ingredients

  • 1-1 ½ teaspoons ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • 3-4 tablespoons of warm/hot water NOT boiling
  • ¼ cup oat milk
  • ¼ cup almond milk
  • a dash of cinnamon
  • 1-2 teaspoons pure maple syrup optional

Instructions

  • Using a fine mesh strainer, sift the matcha powder into a bowl.
1-1 ½ teaspoons ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • Add warm/hot, but not boiling, water to the bowl and whisk quickly in a "W" shape using a matcha whisk until the matcha powder has fully dissolved and a watery paste with many tiny bubbles on the surface has formed.
    3-4 tablespoons of warm/hot water
  • Add the maple syrup to the matcha and stir with the whisk until combined. Feel free to chill the matcha mixture in the fridge or freeze for 5-10 minutes, but since you'll be pouring it over ice, you don't have to.
    1-2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
  • To a glass, add as much ice as you'd like and add the non-dairy milks. Pour the matcha into the glass, add a dash of cinnamon, and stir with a spoon or straw to combine. Enjoy!
¼ cup oat milk, ¼ cup almond milk, a dash of cinnamon

Notes

Buy a good quality ceremonial grade matcha powder! I know they can get a bit pricey but it's super important not only for to get the all the health benefits matcha provides but for it taste delicious too!
Make sure you're whisking it well! You do NOT want to have any powder clumps in your latte. This is why I strain then whisk the powder, it results in a super smooth matcha with absolutely 0 clumps.
